Su infancia, asolada por ese padre estricto y tendencioso, voraz y destructor de sus primeros escritos. Casi al simultáneo, su vejez, acosada por la sombra y consumación de la dictadura, por el cansancio, por la disminución. Y en el intermedio la poesía, el amor, aquel salirse de sí mismo y volverse otro, convertirse en verso.

A writer is born while a man dies. This graphic novel portrays the first and last steps of the Chilean poet as a man, before consummating himself as a letter. His childhood, devastated by that strict and biased father, voracious and destructive of his first writings. Almost simultaneously, his old age, harassed by the shadow and consummation of the dictatorship, by fatigue, by decline. And in between, poetry, love, that going out of oneself and becoming another, becoming verse.
