Adiós es un poema que recrea la alegría de un personaje de la costa que, después de una temporada alejado de su tierra natal, se prepara para volver. El poeta compara aquellas cosas que mas le gustan de su tierra (en especial el mar, que es un leit motiv) con las que hay en la ciudad andina en la que se encuentra. A este texto lo acompañan imágenes nostálgicas en las que el personaje se hunde en una ensoñación de su tierra natal y que, paralelo al texto, sugieren otra historia y otra lectura del poema.

Goodbye is a poem that recreates the joy of a character from the coast who, after a season away from his homeland, prepares to return. The poet compares those things that he likes most about his land (especially the sea, which is a leitmotiv) with those that exist in the Andean city in which he finds himself. This text is accompanied by nostalgic images in which the character sinks into a reverie of his native land and which, parallel to the text, suggest another story and another reading of the poem.
